It is being rumored that the Governor has decided that, despite the recommendation of Former Dupont CFO and Finance Secretary Gary Pfeiffer to eliminate the all-but-useless Department of Finance, Governor Markell has decided that the Department is key to the economic recovery of the State. I’m sure that JFC Chair Senator Nancy Cook is pleased. Her son is the acting Secretary of Finance. The explanation? Simple. The Senate still controls the Government. And it has been doing a great job (sarcasm noted, please). We led the nation into recession and we will lag the nation out of recession.
